Christmas Countdown:
Christmas Countdown:
Today we went to the dome to support our fellow JK- Grade 2 students Christmas concert. We really enjoyed each and every performance! Great work!
Today in math we reviewed dividing using decimals. Remember if the question asks you to solve until there is no remainder then you must add a '0' to your equation (See picture 2). Also we reviewed that if the same number repeat more then 3 time then you simply add a line on top of the third number (See picture 3 below). Lesson 12 is for homework. We have moved our math test for this unit to Friday, December 14th due to the crazy schedule next week with Christmas concert.
Adding the 0 to our equation
A repeating number
Points to remember:
4.9 = 4 and 9/10 (tenths)
4.99 = 4 and 99/100 (hundredths)
4.999 = 4 and 99/1000 (thousandths)
¼ = 0.25
½ = 0.50
¾ = 0.75
- 2.25 million is written in standard form as
2, 250, 000.
As a decimal we write it as 2.25 million (2 whole million + 0.25 million) and as a fraction it is ¼ of a million (25 is ¼ of 100).
