Library books are due back by May 31 – notices have been sent home.
Our final physical education trip will be taking place on Tuesday, June 11th. We will be making our way to the YMCA Cedar Glen Outdoor Education Centre in Schomberg. We will be leaving by bus at 8:30 AM and returning around 3:15 PM. Please do not order hot lunch for this day as we will be provided lunch there.
Today students from St. Jude's attended the Inner-School Spelling Bee at The Maples Academy. Congratulations to all students who attended! St. Jude's won the Spelling Bee trophy for the 2019 competition!! Way to go SJA! A special congratulations to N for placing 1st for Grade 6 spelling, and A for placing 3rd in Grade 5 spelling!
Unit of Inquiry
Today in UOI students had some time to put the finishing touches on their racing games and once all games were completed students had an opportunity to play their peers games. Tomorrow we will begin on our last mini-project before we start our summative.
Inquiry into Language
Today in language students completed their Post OWA (Ontario Writing Assessment).
Inquiry into Mathematics
Today in math we reviewed what faces, edges and vertices are. As well we explored Euler's Formula. Euler's formula: F + V - 2 = E
Vertices: is a point where two or more line segments meet.
Edges: For a polygon an edge is a line segment on the boundary joining one vertex (corner point) to another.
Faces: A face is any of the individual flat surfaces of a solid object.
