Good Afternoon Everyone!

I hope you had a great weekend! Tomorrow is day 3 (French and Library). Picture day is coming up this Thursday. Please make sure you have all the correct uniform pieces for your picture. Also, Halloween is just around the corner. A reminder about costumes, no masks, no weapons of any sort and no scary face paint/ costumes.

Inquiry into Math

Today we started our new unit - Measurement (unit #6). Today we learned about different time zones in Canada and how to calculate them. We learned that Canada has 6 different time zones and in Ontario we follow Eastern Standard Time (EST). Math lesson #1 pg. 80-81 is due tomorrow if not completed in class. This unit is a little longer than our last, so our test will be on November 7th.

Unit of Inquiry

Today we started our next UOI unit - Ancient Civilizations. As a class we created a KWL chart (What I Know, what I Want to know and what I Learned). Then we watched a short introduction video to Ancient Rome. After our video students began on their title page for their UOI duo-tangs. Title pages that were not complete are for homework.

We will be covering Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt throughout the next couple of weeks.
