I hope you had a terrific weekend! Tomorrow is day 4 (Music, French, Gym). Spirit week has officially begun! Tomorrow is superhero/princess/ tie-dye day and Pancake Tuesday! Tomorrow we will begin our summative presentations, please come prepared with whatever you may need (laptop, props, etc.)

Lately, we have been seeing a lot of hoodies that are not in presentable condition. If hoodies have the letters of the house peeling off (or have already come off) and are overall not in presentable condition, they will not be allowed to be worn. New ones must be purchased if they are going to continue wearing them.
**Please do not order lunch on the following day – April 26th.**
Please ensure that students are sent to school with proper outdoor gear - winter coats, hats, mitts, winter boots, scarves, etc. Students will not be allowed to stay in at recess if they are not dressed accordingly. I thank you for your support.

Unit of Inquiry
Today was the last day to complete the government summative. Presentations will begin tomorrow and finish on Wednesday. See below the groups for the government summative. Please remember to bring anything you may need for your presentation (laptops, maps, flag, props, etc.)

Inquiry into Language
Today in language we completed our last literature circle for our novel Shannen and the Dream for a School. Students filled out their goals and self assessment. The students that were not in their literature circle meetings with the teacher worked on spelling lesson 23- syllables. Students also collected work for they IB Binders.
Inquiry into Mathematics
Today in math we began our new Unit-Fractions. We focused on equivalent fractions. We know that equivalent means equal in value. To find equivalent we can use both multiplication and division. We also learned about finding fraction in the simplest form. Please see examples below.
