Wow, what a busy day we had today!
Today we started off our day with our Morning Announcements in the gym in our Houses.
UOI: We talked about our first Unit of Inquiry: Matter. Then students had the opportunity to introduce themselves and share some of their favourite moments from their summer vacation.
FRENCH: Please Welcome Mme. Rawan to Room 23!
UOI: We went over the IB Learner Profiles, Skills and Attitudes. Students worked in groups to create IB Attitudes and Skills to display in our classroom. While students were working, Aamna read her novel aloud to the class. Great job, Aamna!
MATH/LANGUAGE Today we started our DRAS and continued to work on finishing our pictures for our IB Skills and Attitudes.
To finish our day Kappa hosted our first House Game of the year, musical chairs. Theta won! Congratulations Theta! The new teachers also had some fun.
Reminders:
- Tomorrow is a gym day. Please ensure that your student brings their gym clothes in a gym bag. Students are not to come to school in their gym uniform. They need to come to school in their proper school uniform. They will have time before gym to change.
- Last page of student handbook is to be signed and handed in by the end of the week
- BBQ, Bussing and Sibling Pick-up forms are due Sept 14
- After school activities forms are due Sept 16
- Please label all uniform pieces
